Photos not uploading or missing from the report

Photos queue on the device when signal is weak and sync when you reconnect. If they are missing from the PDF, here is where to look.

  1. Step 1

    Check the upload queue

The field writer shows a sync badge when captures are queued. Queued photos are stored on the device and upload automatically when you have a stable connection. Do not close the app or navigate away while the badge is active.

  2. Step 2

    Browser camera permissions

If the camera button does nothing, check that your browser has camera permission for the Inspecta Home 360 domain. In Chrome or Safari, open Settings → Site settings → Camera and make sure inspecta.com is allowed. On iOS, the permission prompt appears on first use — if you denied it, go to iPhone Settings → Safari → Camera and set it to Allow.

  3. Step 3

Photos attached to findings, not sections

Photos live on the finding they were attached to, not on the section header. If you uploaded from the section overview rather than from inside a finding, the photo may be in the inspection media pool but not connected to any finding. Open the finding and attach the photo there so it appears in the PDF.

  4. Step 4

    Regenerate the report

If photos uploaded after you generated the PDF, the cached version does not include them. Open the inspection and choose Generate report again. The new PDF includes all photos that were attached at the time you generated it.

  5. Step 5

    File size limits

The writer accepts photos up to 25 MB each. Very large RAW files from a DSLR may fail silently. Use JPEG output from your camera app, or compress photos before attaching.
